In 2008 Navevo introduced two new own branded products to its portfolio of software products. The first to launch was the award winning ProNav which is a SatNav specifically designed for the driver of larger vehicles such as HGV’s or caravans.
Navevo became aware of the many problems faced when larger vehicles used standard car navigation such as low bridges and narrow lanes. It was in light of this it was decided that development of a device which could optimise routes based upon vehicle attributes would become an instant success. By using the best transport and mapping data available Navevo’s core routing engine, ProNav, was created. The success of this product appeared measurable when later in the year since its release the ProNav went on to win the Frost and Sullivan European Telematics product innovation award.
Since inception, the ProNav has undergone three developmental stages to offer users the most comprehensive and innovative solution for drivers of large vehicles.

It was in the same year that Navevo also launched its BBNav which is designed for Blue Badge drivers and carers of people with disabilities.
Navevo noticed that the current SatNav market did not cater for the needs of this user and felt that freedom of choice and having the power to plan one’s own journey is very important. Due to these considerations the BBNav was created. In essence, the BBNav gives the user control and confidence; the ability to plan a route, identify accessible parking bays both on-street and within car-parks, know where Shopmobility centres are located or have detailed information on council concessions or RADAR toilet locations.
Navevo worked on developing the BBNav for nearly a year sourcing data from across the UK and working closely with key data suppliers such as RADAR toilets, Pieguide.com, Open Britain and Direct Gov. Since this, Navevo are pleased to say that the BBNav is the only SatNav system in the world that is developed specifically with disabled users at the forefront of its design.
